Wei joined Nature Communications in September 2015. He obtained his PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from the Chinese Academy of Science in 2009. He studied electron transport in low dimensional semiconducting materials. After a short stay in University of Bremen, he then moved to RIKEN in Japan for postdoctoral research. During that time, he used theoretical and numerical methods to study the interplay between spin orbit coupling, electron correlation and long range orders in strongly correlated materials. He handles manuscripts mainly in research areas of condensed matter physics.
