背景资料:

   卓敏教授是神经生物学领域的国际知名专家。他是第一份Online国际性痛觉研究杂志Molecular Pain主编和Molecular Brain的Founding主编。他主编了第一本分子痛的英文教科书由国家高等教育出版社和Springer联合出版。他在国际权威杂志如Nature,Science,Neuron,Nature Neurosci,J Neurosci等杂志上发表研究论文200余篇, 综述24篇. 论文被引用近8900 余篇次,H-index为57(2015年02月06日数据)。除了致力于基础研究,他认为生物医学研究最终应该造福于人类。他己拥有5项有关新药研制的国际及美国专利。

   卓敏教授在中枢神经系统对感觉信息信息下行易化调控的研究中,第一次报道了RVM通过下行易化对感觉信息的调控现象,从而开创了大脑对脊髓下行易化研究的新领域。在逆行信使在中枢神经系统中,卓敏关于Nitric oxide和Carbon Monoxide在学习和记忆,感觉信息传递与痛觉,以及皮层功能等方面的功能性;在第一级感觉突触中,谷氨酸是唯一的在腰椎脊髓背角介导快兴奋性突触传递的递质;卓敏用“聪明鼠”做为动物模型,在研究前扣带皮层在慢性痛和认知功能的研究中,发现NR2B选择性在前脑水平的表达在整体行为和细胞水平记忆形成上发生了改变,而且,这种动物表现出增强的慢性痛表型,从而第一次证明前脑NMDA受体在慢性痛的调控中起重要作用;研究结果发表在Science, Nature, Nature Neuroscience, Pain, Learning & Memory 和Neuron 等国际一流期刊。卓敏将找到调控认知水平和治疗脑疾病的关键分子和新靶点 (novel drug target),并为新药的开发和转化医学研究提供指导。目前已经发现,通过对AC1活性的干扰,可以有效地减轻动物慢性痛的症状,研究结果发表于Science Translational Medicine。
